Chamber Spotlight

The January Chamber coffee is sponsored by Arkla Gas Company and will be held in the Nevada County Farm Bureau conference room. The public is invited. We especially urge members of the business community to come and share ideas and conversation with your colleagues. The coffee is scheduled as follows:

  • Date: Thursday, January 25, 1996
  • Time: 9:30 to 11:00
  • Place: Farm Bureau Insurance Building
  • 325 East Second South, Prescott

An organizational meeting regarding a County Community Development Plan project was held January 11 at the Emmet School cafetorium. The Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring this project.

In her presentation to this group, our chamber president, Mrs. Jo Beth Glass, stated the purpose as "planning for the future of ourselves, our families and our extended families, which are all our fellow citizens that we share our lives with in Nevada County".

Participates worked on creating a shared vision statement for citizens of Nevada County up to the year 2015. Once we have our shared vision we will work together on "how we get there."

The next County Community Development Plan meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 25, at 6:30 p.m. in the Prescott Elementary School auditorium.
